Do you DIY? I have aspirations to do more and occasionally will do something like make a holiday wreath or my husband and I will do a house project together. It mostly stems from my frugal nature rather than my creative brain. But! I think I'm most proud of our paver patio. It took two days and some friends - who don't want to be friends anymore 😂 - to get it done. The Mayfield siblings and cousins so far make up a three part series, with number four (hopefully) coming soon! I've listened to them on audio and adore the narrator, Justine Eyre. She's amazing and I will listen to anything she does. Brass Carriages and Glass Hearts is the 4th in @authornancycampbellallen's steampunk series and was recently published. I adore the whole series! @authorjosiskilpack's #glassheartchallenge to celebrate is making paper hearts. #regencyromance #rakesandroses #josikilpack #properromance #properromanceseries #ShadowMountain

@ilimaktodd challenged us to make a string figure for @properromanceseries #glassheartchallenge . . This was my elementary school days. Yes, we just played with string. Cats Cradle was the thing all the way through like, 3rd grade. We also used a Chinese jump rope to do these with our feet. . For this challenge I learned something new. In honor of this beautiful romance based on the lives of Ilima's own ancestors, I made a star. My background music is also star themed. (I had to add music because what you can't see are the kids playing VR behind me and their music was loud.) . This did take me a bit to master, but I can do it pretty fast now, and my kids think it is pretty neat. . #bookstagram #books #romancebooks #properromance #srtingfigure #lovestory #amreading
